If you like hanging out at the bar, you love tasting different cocktails or you are still trying to figure out which drink is your favorite, then Outer Banks has a special event for you.
The First OBX Island Bar Ball featuring favorite spirits of the Island took place last Sunday, on May 17. Guess where – Right, at the Ramada Plaza Nags Head Oceanfront!
Imagine NINE bars in one room, and it takes literally two-three steps to move from one bar to another, enjoying special bartenders’ creations, delicious food and great company of all the local folks.
Nine local bars participated in the first Island Ball, best bartenders of the beach were there to please their loyal local customers and to surprise the tourists.
The idea of the event is simple: you buy the ticket and you are in. You are free to try as many special cocktails, beer & wine as you want and to taste as many appetizers as you can.
Once you are pleased with some drink or with the food masterpiece – you vote for it. By the end of the evening the winners are announced. Easy!
The drinks were strong, food was outstanding, people were having amazing time, passing around pieces of advice what is good and what is extremely good.
The event started quite formal, when atmosphere in the ballroom began to heat up people were dancing not just on the dance floor, but also while moving from bar to bar.
Once everybody tried it all – it was the time to announce the winners. Here we go:
Vodka: Bonzer Shack with its Grilled Pineapple Crush, Tequila/Rum: Black Pelican with Marharita, Whiskey/Brown Spirits: BK Shuckers with their Pumba.
The most votes got appetizer by Bonzer Shack – Island Wings.
The OBX Island Ball Champion is Bonzer Shack. Congratulations!
